This is an optical punched-tape reader (1982) allowing 120 characters per second bidirectional reading, and equipped with a servo spooling mechanism. It will read 5, 6 7 and 8 track punched tape. Because it can be interfaced relatively simply to a modern PC, we use this unit routinely in the process of copying the large amount of papertape software in our collection to CD-ROM.
This reader has been used at the Van der Waals-Zeeman physics laboratory of the University of Amsterdam
