NewBrain microcomputer

The NewBrain (1982) was a product of Grundy Business Systems Ltd, Cambridge (UK). It was built around a Z80A processor.
The NewBrain had 32K RAM and 28K ROM, the latter containing BASIC, a math package (10 figures floating point), a graphics package (line and arc drawing) and a screen editor (255 lines of 40 or 80 characters). The screen could be either a video monitor or a television set. An expansion connector allowed adding more RAM and ROM. There were two cassette ports (for background storage), an RS232 communication port and a serial printer port.
The price of the was about Dfl 1300.

The NewBrain was very popular among Dutch computer hobbyists. The picture shows a home-made system with two floppy drives (#02.68).
