This model 4 (1983) is a descender of the TRS-80 (1977) which was very popular among computer hobbyists. The present machine seems to be developed primarily for office use. Specifications:

• processor Zilog Z80A, 4 MHz
• internal memory 64 k
• background memory two 5.25" floppies, 178k each
• on the screen 24 lines of 80 characters
• price US$ 2000

The machine can run TRS DOS 6.0 like its predecessor, Model III, as well as CP/M. From the outside there is hardly any difference between the models III and 4.
