Sperry/Rand/Univac Uniscope 100 display terminal
UvA Computer Museum catalogue nr 01.32
This alphanumeric terminal was introduced in 1970 as one of the first cost-effective CRT terminals. Depending on the amount of built-in core memory, the screen could hold 480, 512, 960 or 1024 characters from the ASCII-96 set. The Uniscope was used as the console terminal and as a time-sharing remote terminal with the Univac 1100 series of mainframe computers.
The Uniscope, in its steel housing, has the impressive weight of 35 kilograms.
This terminal was donated by Mr. R. Nijs.
The picture was copied from Univac Informatie, October 1972.
